covered in graffiti, thats the mentality of the little chavs that hang around town. No point rebuilding the town centre until these little scrubbers are shot from the roof tops Dawn of the Dead style. Little girl is doing some type of dance/celebration with her school around it this morning, something to do with Olympics/Jubilee (she lost me after the first sentence) and they're having to wait to see if it can be washed off otherwise its cancelled.
I thought the idea of it was that people did that, sort of interactive art ..... at least that's the impression I got. They've been cleaning it every morning.
The little un supposed to be leaping off it this morning in some cheerleader style thing, she's just text saying the council having to come out to clean it. Think maybe someone's misunderstood the "art" part. They may be cleaning a 6ft **** off it.
On Kendray St, right in the middle of the road which means taxis are diverted around the back of bus station and folk moaning about it costing them another quid for their taxi ride!
Link for webcam..... http://www.mind-the-gap.org.uk/immovable/?p=1140 Dancers on web cam as we speak...
I'm trying to avoid all this b0llcks about this block - but common sense should have said dump it on the precinct not a road. Agree its like talking to er a brick block trying to get anything from the council.
I get art and all that, but a block in the road? Don't really see that as being good. does anyone know how much is this costing the taxpayer? Suppose the good thing is that it's got the town talking abart summat
Well I assumed it had something to do with art. But apparently - "Mind the Gap is an award-winning theatre company that works with learning disabled and non-disabled artists as equals. Since 1988 we have been working with people to find creative ways to overcome obstacles and barriers." So something about overcoming social barriers and promoting equality? I know is that it's just gonna get graffiti'd.
lol, only in Barnsley could they stick a gret rock in middle of the road blocking traffic and call it art
Little one loved the dance routines they did on it, god knows why they were doing it but it's something to do with Kingstone school and "art". Through the webcam they've had messages from Hong Kong and New York, wondered of they commented on the clean bit of concrete looking out of place in the **** hole surroundings? Look out for Kipper on it this Saturday.
