I'm not sure. Granted he put a couple of decent balls in, but he also made error after error, and continually ran into a dead end. Give him credit for actually showing some urgency though. I'd say Pearson was best of a poor bunch. I would have preferred it if Holgate had come on, and Nyatanga moved to LB (assuming it was an injury to Mvoto)
Nyatanga was LB wasn't he? I assume you mean another move but can't quite figure out how it would have worked. I think the only reason he kept running into dead ends was because every player ahead of him buggered off and left him alone. Pearson was OK in first half but for me his showing on the right was awful. Good work rate but it just didn't work there for me
He had no help what-so-ever. I lost count of how many times he was expected to beat 3 men marking him.
Nyatanga moved into the centre when Mvoto went off. Smith went to LB? So I meant that I'd have preferred Cranie to go central & Holgate to RB, leaving Nyatanga at LB.
Now you've explained it that's pretty obvious what you meant. I think he took the opportunity to shift nyatanga because he'd been having a stinker in the first half
