Surely the consessionary tickets are different and easy for the turnstile operators to spot?

We got a free U11's ticket but the young un cant go tonight so one of the lads will be sat in his seat but paying the full amount on the door, hope there int nowt wrong with that cos we know how crazy the implementation of rules can be down at th'well!

If your mate sits in a season ticket holder's seat then he will be clearly breaking the rules and you deserve to get the season ticket confiscated. He has to sit in the seat allocated to him. I always thought that people would do this sort of thing to get a seat next to them where non-seson ticket folk can sit on a regular basis (or have two seatsif they are fat!).

Have you ever tried to get a ticket in advance for a game through the box-office? Best seats you'll get are either right at the back or gangway 9 in the East Stand. There are lots of empty seats cos people (don't blame em) have managed to get two reserved seats for the price of one. Never any intention of the bairns going to a match. There's even some poor kids who were forced to become part of this scam and hand over their birth certificates to dad's mates when they are really Manchester United fans. Shocking.

Are you implying that ticketing at Oakwell is a joke?

    Not at all

I just thought that your suggestion that the lad should have his season ticket confiscated was so ludicrous that it must have been said in jest. However, you seemed to be entirely serious, so I was confused.
