Phil was a very famous player back in the day. He made Christensen look like a regular. When he played for us his nickname was God because most people thought he existed but nobody saw him. I once saw him as a sub at Oldham away when 2000 Barnsley fans fainted at his appearance . He left us eventually and as said above he fecking scored.

I saw him as a sub at Newcastle.

At the time we signed him, it was a record fee for a player from a non-league club.

Played at Right Back against West Ham in the Cup. We won 4 - 0 - Andy Rammell scored a hat-trick. Signed with a wired up jaw!

You weren't taken in by that one were you...

... that was someone from the crowd, the 'jaw wired' was a lie so that we'd not be able to hear the imposter speak... all a CIA operation... Gridlet was actually a covert CIA agent... shot Ronald Reagan...he did....and the Pope.
