I will be approching that London on the train from Doncaster.

I'm hoping that we can start some kind of revival that sees us "retain our Championship status". I'm hoping that we attack from the off instead of trying to contain. I'm hoping for several bottles of Palma Crital, Cub's Number 1 beer in a pub just of Covent Garden. I'm hoping to get to the ground and laugh at Millwall's "siren" chants in teh station.

I'm hoping to start a rendition of Jingle Bells..

I saw a programme on TV the other night (well caught parts of it) - as someone who takes little more than a passing interest in politics of all kinds, what is it that you find so great about the place and it's former leader?

Genuine question by the way, and not a challenge!

“It’s ridiculous, we have tried everything but the measure of what we are trying to achieve is still feasible"

apart from not putting bobby hassle back in the team in favour of his lower league numpties.

Was that the Cuba programme on BBC1? It wasn't bad, the last 15 minutes in the burger place were proper boring.

My main issue with the programme, and most western programmes, is that they always assess Cuba against false standards and say the revolution failed. If you comapre the standard of living for the whole population in Cuba with the rest of the Carribbean then it is signifcantly higher. Haiti is Cuba's natural comparator, not resource rich countries with historic wealth from former Empires. Added to which, everything Cuba achieved was without being able to trade with closest it's neighbour and world super-power in the USA.

It also ignores the fact that most people had a far lower standard of living than now pre-revolution. The improvements in healthcare and education in the few short years after the revolution were astounding.

Went to Cuba last year, amazing place. Totally unique, loud, dirty, vibrant, noisy. Didn't see a single Starbucks, McDonalds or any of that *****, drank and ate nothing but Cuban produce, ate in paladars (rooms in people's houses), drank in rammed little steamy bars with jazz bands and salsa dancers whirling round me, and rattled though the backstreets in clapped out ladas and cadillacs. Ace. Even found a micro brewery.

If a manager admits he has "tried everything" and the team is still losing, isn't that pretty much an admission that he can't turn it around? i.e. an admission that his time is up.

I wouldn't get too excited, we'll all be dead in 32 hours anyway, it's the apocolypse (sp) or something.
