Ended up in the East Stand lift with Sam after the match, still clutching his MOM champagne. Came across as a genuinely nice, decent, humble bloke. Said he's privileged to be here and would only leave for Arsenal as thats who he supports. Basically he was saying he is fully focussed and honoured to play for Barnsley. We all know money talks in life as well as football but in my lift journey with him he came across as though he genuinely loves being here.

I love this squad that Danny has put together. All of em. The handsome b a stards.

He's a grafter, is Sam. Shades of Mick Butler?

Let's be honest if someone offered him more money / better prospects etc he would more than likely move on. Just how the world works.

Precisely, which was my point. I was simply remarking on what a decent bloke he seemed. Very polite, humble, and happy to be here.

He's an awesome little bugger. Wish more players could follow his example.

Nevermind the Colchester match. I absolutely can't wait to see him against Scunny three weeks today. He will hopefully shut up the boos he will get with a couple of goals.

I think so as he wanted to leave and I think he got alot of abuse on social media from their fans for being a money grabber, showing them no loyalty for getting his career back on track etc.

    He's an Arsenal fan.

I wouldn't worry too much though.

You sure? Girouid and Welbeck could get serious injury then they see Sam 25 goals by january Winnall who supports the club to buy him for £10 million? I see that happening

A joy to watch after having to deal with toilers such as C.Dagnall. From pub league quality to a championship standard finisher.

    Winnall for England!!!!
