£9 as a special one off price to charge a child to get into Oakwell is a disgrace, I have heard stories already this season about teenagers being charged £18 on the gate at Oakwell. How about quid a kid or teenagers for a fiver as these are the next generation of fans.

At last the penny has finally dropped with disco Don and the other marketing amatuers who run the shop at Oakewell about the clubs seriously dwindling support.

Wake up and smell the coffee Don....you have dropped more clangers than the chuckle brothers with the various ticketing fiascos and over the top pricing policies. Couple that with the total lack of ambition over the past years and constantly finishing in the bottom 6 and you have a perfect storm for killing the support. The form of the team since xmas was a disgrace to the shirt.

£28 is a joke as the empty seats at Oakwell tell you.

That is the reason Don that you now have only 7,500 die hards for every home game at Oakwell now because its you and your joke of a marketing department who has driven them away.

Once they are out of the habit of coming they are gone forever, some will probably return for the dee dars, weeds and shelikesheruddersfield and that will be it.

So unless you scrap the stupid pricing policy Don and the pricing policy for the away fans also you can look forward to an empty Oakwell every week. If the home support is boycotting the club because its £28 a throw then I'm sure the away support will be also.

The marketing fools at Jokewell need to take a leaf out of some of the other more forward thinking clubs in the league who actually are in touch with their supporters, and also invest in some common sense and some technology that allows discounted tickets to be sorted at the turnstile instead of queing up at the club hours before. Not all of BFC's fans live within a stone's throw of grove street.

The natives have voted with their feet Don and you and the club needs to get in the real world or get some modern day forward thinking experts in, it would also be nice to hear from our chairman - is he still alive ??????????????????

    I don't understand.

So, can I just clarify.... you are not a fan of Don Rowing, you call our shrine 'Jokewell', and the pricing is obscene? Am I right?

I agree with you on one thing... BUT, can you guess which one?

    WHOOOOO... EXCITING!

Do we both agree your user name is magic ??

£28 for match day tickets = Jokewell

hence only 7,500 reds for every home game unless it changes

£13.46 per game with a season ticket which can be spread over 10 months.
    £6.50 a game for U18s and students
    Free for kids Under 12
Looks like fantastic value to me?

our seasons tickets are fantastic value, without doubt...but the 28 quid a match isnt filling seats, something has to be done about it now,,20 quid in todays climate is enough for some and i'd let a family in for 25 - 30 quid...the 25 being if they sit in the west stand.
theres no point don being on the back of the chron showing his concern, its time to act and do summat about it.

If £28 attracts 500 pay on the day supporters you'd need 700 to make the same financial return if the tickets were £20 each.

If you charged £15 a ticket youd need 930 supporters to make the same financial return.

If we can't attract 930 people at £15 a pop then there really isn't much hope.

When you put it like that for the ST people really have no reason to moan. 10 months is like paying as you go, that is the length of the season. It draws you to the conclusion that none of them want to go (or simply can't). £35 a month, if people can't pay that then the club will never be able to price it low enough. Although I do think they would pick up more regular people who are just casual fans who wouldn't ever come to every match if it was £20. The idea of pricing the west lower at a lower price should be considered by the club. See if it does attract extra fans.

BFC need to get players round all the local schools spreading the message to get down and watch Barnsley on a matchday and drop the kids prices accordingly. The only way to attract more fans is through the schools imho,as they are the future supporters of BFC. If you get kids asking their parents to take them i reckon you could put 2-3k on most matches at home this season. Just my opinion obviously.....

It has to be priced right though. It's key.
