how can they justify charging £21 quid to sit in an uncovered stand????? by all accounts its going to chuck it down on saturday so all the people in the West lower and first fifteen rows of the East lower will be paying £21 for the privelage of getting wet through to watch a third division football match.
It seems that company policy is to make it more attractive to buy a season ticket at around £12.50 per match, if you can get to em all.
if the local cinema sold annual season tickets....... I'm sure some would say "I love that cinema and I'm sure just occasionally they will show a good film" but the vast majority of todays fickle society would you say "regardless of what it costs, I'd like to see whats on before I commit, theres no point in putting out all that money if all they are going to show is duff films". See the analogy there?
Agreed - yet people still choose to sit there when there is space undercover. Amazes me why people buy a season ticket for the West Stand rather than the East Stand.
Well actually.... .... I like the West Lower for lots of reasons.
The view from the back rows of the West Lower is magnificent, just elevated enough not to be too high and a nice view across the stadium
There is also a good atmosphere from the Ponty End usually and it's easy to get absorbed in that atmosphere, without actually being part of the Ponty End, which I don't like to be in.
The sun NEVER shines in your face, unlike the East stand, so you are never squinting, covering your eyes or having to wear sunglasses at any time of the year, especially autumn and spring.
You are in your seat within 1 minute of entering the stadium, and back out on the street within one minute of vacating your seat. No walking round the back, climbing endless stairs, then waiting 5 minutes to get into the aisle when the match ends.
As the prevailing wind comes from behind the main bulk of the West stand, the West Lower is invariably drier and less Windy than the east. But hey, you keep over there in the east mate, I like the room I've got where I am.
There are drawbacks, especially if you need the toilet frequently.

RE: Well actually.... "less Windy than the east" You have a point there - we have to put up with him! ff Some fair points though that I'd not considered, still wouldn't pay the same price for it though - which is your gripe, I agree it should be the cheapest area in the ground.
