Came home early to watch this Game, hoping to see a good one, which it was, but! **** me, the players foot was well in touch before he touched down....No try no fecking way.... O'Gara FFS should have known to leave the guy be when in the air....Lost chance to win, but still the fire was there.... *****....
There was no video evidence that his foot was in touch Hence it's a try. End of story. And O'Gara tackled the bloke whilst he was in the air, hence a penalty was awarded. Even running to him constitutes a penalty in that scenario. Nothing to do with the referee that the Lions lost.
RE: There was no video evidence that his foot was in touch The person who had the best view of the touchline was the touch ref and he seemed to be trying to make the point that his foot was in touch. They couldn't conclusive say either way on the 3 video angles. We have had the rough end of the decisions in the 2 tests.
i lost count of how many times they looked at the wrong side, which didnt put any doubt, but they hardly looked at the right side which did look like his foot was on the line, we blew it in 40 n 80 mins with silly penalties. when that paddy took out that giant SA'n n he was falling around in a daze was classic
RE: There was no video evidence that his foot was in touch From the video replay looking at the player from the back angle it for definite showed his foot scraping the touch line before he grounded the Ball....Disgusting decision to even contemplate giving the try....
for gods sakes take your blinkers off, the foot in touch was the player at the back who didn't have the ball. in rugby league you have a benefit of the doubt decision, which is what i'm thinking of this try. no reason whatsoever for it not to be given.
Re: In Rugby how come every touch judge decision goes against us every single time. nt You'd have to ask the officials that question mate....But be sure, they'll get plenty of those fired at them as of now i would a thought....
RE: for gods sakes take your blinkers off, the foot in touch was the player at the back Crap! that hand what placed the ball over the try line belongs to the foot what was in touch....
