Liverpool hadn't done their homework-Howard had more space yesterday than in all the League matches put together-that allowed him to have his best game for ages-most of the teams in this League target him and he is continually fouled-often being double marked

Spot on, they under estimated us, When we pushed forward they really thought that we were poor, slack marking, standing off, it must have been great for Howie to find so much room. A DREAM COME TRUE.

I'll get mullahed for this but... Anderson di Silva..

... is one of the most gifted players I've seen in a Barnsley shirt...BUT ...he needs to learn that sometimes the easy ball is the option, he gave the ball away several timeswhen easy options were available, one of which lead to the goal. He's great no doubt though.

F.A CUP magic? More like hard graft from the lads making their own luck.

did piss about in the area a bit but

got away with it, and made a number of L/pool players look rather stupid,
still not like to see him repeat it too often

...pissed about in the centre circle too often...

.... i hate to complain as he is a wonderful player, but I feel he needs to learn when to play the 'killer pass' and when to knock it short.

    I'll go one stage further

I thought quite a few of our players had ordinary games. It was one of the best games I've seen in my life, the last ditch defending was superb, the result was out of this world and I'm in no way complaining, but I stand by that statement. I know you can only play as well as the opposition allows you, but of the midfield and strikers only Howard had a particularly good game.

    Ducks for cover.

What did you think of Odejayi?

I thought he was decent when he came on, did a much better job than Nardiello anyway!

    He did OK

But he still didn't put himself about as much as I think a bloke with such undoubted athletic prowess should.

I thought he rattled their central defenders a bit

Scared the **** out of them.

I thought Nardiello was probably our worst player, really didn't look that bothered.

It definitely wasn't our best performance of the season, but we battled hard and showed some bottle.

He just has no anticipation at all

He gets caught ball watching and his decisions are always made 2 seconds after they need to be.

Did ok when he came on but his off the ball work was sadly lacking.

    We battled like Trojans

Of that there is no doubt. It's just that with the exception of Howard and one glorious cross from Devaney our midfield and strikers didn't do as much with the ball as they are capable. Not that I care one jot like.
