We've had 10 managers. With the exception of Robins who was doing a very good job down the road, not one of the appointments particularly impressed me at the time. For what's it's worth, both Butcher and S'OD would have impressed me if appointed and I personally think that, despite the media culture opening them up to ridicule with each rejection, the board are at last going for the right people. I just hope that the eventual incumbent is in the same bracket. Finally. As nice as Butch was about us in saying no, I can't help but feel that the exposure will bode him well for the summer, as he did this at his peak (cup semi and 2nd in league but only 9 points off 11th) and would have had a good idea of what was on offer before coming up from Suffolk. I can only think, from his interview and comments on loyalty to his squad, that the board told him they didn't want all of the ICT squad to follow him here a la Hill!
