because we now know we have to go there and win to go through. it should be none stop attacking from us, and i can see huddersfield just sitting back slightly to defend their lead. it will no doubt spur the lads on, and if we have to put them out at their place then so be it.
Strangely I wonder if that is better than if we had won 1-0 We would have gone there trying to hang one whilst they came at us and almsot certainly failed - once they score they have the momentum and goodnight. This way - they arent sure whether to attack to kill off the tie or stick - and could well finish up somewhere between. Our tactics are pretty clear Certainly not given up hope yet
Brilliant!!! Top thread
Make it sticky then the people who think we have blown it may just think again.
I still fancy us going there to win, but especially now. TBH I dont think we could have gone there and held a 1-0 lead. Now they wont be quite sure what to do in front of their own fans.
COME ON BAAAARNSLEY!!!!

RE: Brilliant!!! 2 years ago, we got a 1 goal lead at Sincil Bank and many thought that "ickle" Lincoln would just be swept away - the mood changed a bit when we were 2 down at half time! Scraped through then, but highlights the truth of what this thread is saying. Excellent board, by the way (joined up over past week and enjoyed a lot of the threads (it would have been worth joining for that lad's Keeley Whatserface's picture alone!). Great entertainment last night - passion, 2 teams trying to play the right way and 100% commitment from both sides. While I thought we edged it, mainly for the first 30 minutes performance, the tie is still very, evry tight and any Town fan who thinks we are through is kidding themselves. 1 final point - is Tina Tyke the Tina I used to send Hudds/Barnsley match reports to some years ago? If so, "Hello Tina"
do you know why............... Abbot was only on the bench-I'd have him in our team like a shot-has he been injured??
RE: Brilliant!!! Looked like Town had a gameplan to stifle our midfield 2 and to be fair it worked. Thought a couple of ours were out of the game - nerves, not being allowed to play their game by Hudds I dunno.
2nd leg should be interesting. lot depends on Ritchie getting their mindset right, and how Jackson approaches the game.
