Training almost decended into fisticuffs as a prank by Gordon Shepherd backfired dramatically. Gord came out onto the pitch wearing Martin Devaney's white leather jacket and proceeded to do a Michael Jackson impression in the centre circle (complete with moon walk and crotch grab) Devaney was visibly angry and had to be held back by four players. If it wasn't for the comic relief provided by Nicky Wroe running into a goalpost, the incident could have escalated. Ritchie has refused to reprimand Devaney. He claims that his sight of the incident was obscured by the traffic cone he was wearing on his head during a jovial game of head tennis.
