    From Radio Sheff:

    Reds end pursuit of Windass

Barnsley have dropped their interest in Bradford City striker Dean Windass after having a second bid for the player rejected.

It is understood the Reds tabled the second bid - believed to be in the region of £120,000 - on Thursday morning.

we've up'ed our offer by £20k and then walked? f.ucking typical Barnsley. straight back down to zero credibility, Gordon. offer peanuts, get knocked back, not fooled at all. Ritchie named his man, waiting.......

    RE: From Radio Sheff:

120k for a forward who has converted to midfield and is 37 on 1st april is a bit over the odds in my view-surely you don't advocate giving bradford what they ask for ??

    As a stats man,

I'd have thought 28 goals last season and 14 this wouldve pushed your boat out, maybe not. I'd have gone to £200k, already said so. whats a trip to Wembley with 30 tho and promotion to the Championship worth these days? niver mind, Richards is on a roll. etc.

    I thought you'd crawl out.

    Everybody talks bad about somebody
And never realises how it affects somebody
And you bet it won't be forgotten
Envy is the only thing it could be

Cos people are all the same
    (The same, the same)
And we only get judged by what we do
    (What we do, yeah, yeah)
    My personality reflects me
    And if I'm ugly then
    (Yeah, you)
    So are you
    So are you

    People are all the same
    (Oh, oh, oh)
And we only get judged by what we do
    (What we do, yeah)
    My personality reflects me
    And if I'm ugly then
    (Yeah, so are you)
    So are you

    True Red Bond?

bums on seats or bums out for the lads? Windass would self finance, and even you know that.

    Extra revenue generated from signing

through turnstyles, finishing in playoffs, maybe even a trip to the final and who knows promotion. £200k over remaining 8 home games = £25k per game, at £20 per head thats 1,250 extra folks needed. we're averaging less than 8k per home game, I'm saying in my opinion, signing Windass would move the gate up to 9k as his goals and contribution would keep us in the top 6.

Read Ritchies comments on the Official site. "He's the best striker in the League, the best finisher,...and is the difference needed to keep us in the top 6". I'm with him.
