    To be honest, I don't think teams are that bothered if England do get off to a flyer because they know that the batsman will throw their wickets away. All the opposition have to do is hang in there and be patient.

    Same players keep failing. Time we started dropping and rotating the middle order. Lawrence deserved another chance. A left field choice would be Jos Butler. He hasn't had a chance under Bazball. Might be what we're lacking with the shackles off.

    Buttler is the last person you need anywhere near an England red ball team. His white ball stats recently aren’t that impressive either.

    Correct but the openers have been pretty good so far this series. Apart from one good knock from Ollie Pope, him, Root, Bairstow and Stokes have been pretty useless.
