Just heard that United have a friendly away to Bristol C arranged for Sat 2nd Aug. What like is Bristol for pubs / nightlife. Are the natives friendly enough? Where would you suggest I try a get accommodation? City Center or maybe further out. Hope some of you can give a few handy pointers.
Stay central, down by the marina is decent for boozers & eating etc. Lots of hotels to pick from, locals re mainly sound.
Been 5 times in recent years twice in car 3 times on train never had a problem with locals, town centre as lots of pubs and food places decent night out really

Love Bristol and go most years round august bank hols Brigstow has had good deals on lately and radisson blu is a decent new addition Bit of a cattle market on a saturday round the quayside but still good Recommendations .... Mud dock for breakfast, cherry duck for a very good dinner that doesn't break the bank, wander found Clifton and drink at a on gorge to look at the bridge Graze is really good for Sunday lunch (a bath ales pub) and plenty to see and do Enjoy!!!
Bristol is near wales, they all say ooh aargh mi loverlee and st pauls is a dump of the highest order. also they all drink ciderrrrrrrrrrrrrr hth

People drive like ****s and Bristol is full of one way systems. Once you get parked you're fine. Last year I abseiled the Bristol gorge, scared the **** out of me. Lol
One of the best cities in Britain IMHO. Cracking array of pubs, clubs to suit every taste, and independent shops and restos.
Bristol's a decent night out - there, I've said it! Stay city centre, plenty to entertain you around there and some of the surrounding areas can be a bit ropey
