I think you're right, mate, and I'll be surprised to see any of them playing a part either in tonight's or Saturday's game. Hopefully, they'll all be fit to make some contribution at Chesterfield, though. I'm hopeful I'll get my first opportunity to see both Marley Watkins & Mike Phenix tonight.
From what I have seen Watkins is ok, works hard and looks sharp. Not sure if he will play up front or wide mid. Only seen Phenix in training so hope he can get his fitness back. Its a good opportunity to see if we have enough competitive depth over next couple of games against strong opponents. I do worry in our strength in depth and readiness for 8th.
With the transfer window not closing until 5pm on September 1st, I'd doubt any club will have completed their squad rebuilding by the first league game of the season, given the choice.
