Stoke scored their winner in the 6th minute of injury time. No outburstsof "Pulis time" or ref bias towards the big club? Just making a point thats all....which means, its not the injury time folk disagree with, its just a hatred of sometowards Man Utd.
Top game last night. Thimpson has to play Setdi

Minimum of 4 mins...a goal and a few substitutions but old Sparky still struggled with the calculations.
How many minutes did the ref indicate he was going to add on though? Was it 4 minutes or less or was it more like 6 minutes? There's a big difference
Thats not what I meant I meant did the ref at stoke indicate 4 minutes or less, ie did he indicate a minimum of 1 minute, 2 minutes, 3 minutes or 4 minutes or was it a minimum of 5 or 6. if the ref indicates a minimum of 1 minute and then plays 6 there is clearly something wrong, if he indicates a minimum of 5 or 6 and plays 6 then its normal. I didn't mean did he hold a board up saying 4 or less minutes to play
Remember a game a couple of seasons back at Oakwell? Our 'keeper got knocked out and I clocked the stoppage at 12 minutes, so allowing for substitutions etc, there should have been at least 15 minutes. The 4th official signalled 7 minutes and the ref actually played 6. Needless to say we lost 1-0. I think its time to take time-keeping away from the ref and give it to the 4th official. The ref can always say to to add a minute for time-wasting through his radio, then when the time is up, the 4th official can just tell the ref likewise - simple.
If I was a Man U fan, i would be at Old Trafford every week, not Oakwell, as i have been for the last 34 years. Hope that clears things up for you.
I was just pointing out that the Stoke injury time goal didnt provoke the mass hysteria that the goal for Man Utd did on this board.

A big clock counting down in the corner..... Like in basket ball. I guess it would add to the tension. I remember when all the schools brought the kids for a match for free and all the kids counted down from 10 seconds with the scoreboard clock. How deflating when the ref refused to indulge by blowing the whistle when they cheered.
RE: A big clock counting down in the corner..... one thing I would stop is substitutions after 90 minutes, pointless and obvious time wasting whether the ref adds on 30 secs or not
Cracking idea..... 4th official puts the board up for both.... Once the board has gone up that's it for subs
RE: Cracking idea..... What if he's got a broken leg?! Play him on anyway and make the injury worse like what may have happened to Muller when Davey left him on
Or someone else takes his place it's only for a few minutes... The general principle is that: Substitutions were not allowed when the game first got it's rules. Then as you point out injuries forced the introduction of substitutes for this eventualilty. As the game developed people began to feign injury to allow tactical substitution so the authorities changed the rules to allow tactical substitution for all. Now last minute substitutions are happening simply to waste time. To prevent this after the amount of normal time in any period of play would improve the general game by removing the time wasting in injury time and offer only limited "unfairness" I mean in reality how often would a goalkeeper break his leg in injury time....and how often would that then lead to a goal which changed the course of a game.
