Aren't most of the ins under the age of 4 whilst most of the outs were first team squa players. Can't particularly count anyone we have brought in on loan as we would have to add the 5 loans to the released list if we are doing that.
3 of the outs were kids. 4 or 5 others barely played last season. Fair point about the loans, but hopefully they'll be here for the whole season.
Turnbull, Cranie, M'Voto, Lita, Hemmings, Bailey, Berry, Jennings and Lalkovic have been moved on, all of them first team players last season. Plus Oates who was on the fringes and question marks over Holgate and Digby. That's 12 players. We've signed Mawson, Watkins and Roberts. Loaned Wilkinson, Pearson and Rothwell. That's 6 players. 3 of em aren't ours. So there's a deficit of 6 players. We could well retain Holgate and Digby though, which would help numbers. I'd say we've got rid of loads and recruited very few. It might be a brilliant plan, I dunno, it's certainly different.
You've included loans in this year but not for last season, so like for like that's five more gap, eleven in total.
Meh. I reckon we should all just agree (whether you're optimistic or pessimistic) that we've got a very small squad as things stand, with very little experience. That isn't saying everything is awful, but it's not saying it's brilliant either. It is what it is.
And 7 of those in the squad at present will probably barely feature. You're arguing for the sake now. You've had Conan for an hour or two so I'll let you off. Only a blind man would be unable to see we've a very small squad, at present. I expect numbers to increase though. I'm no doom monger.
I'm responding to the posts you make against mine, are you arguing for the sake of it too? I agree we need to sign a few still but we were short on options last season too because our manager obviously deemed most of them not good enough so barely used them. I don't think we're much different in numbers that will actually be used now (a few as I've said).
