Are we suffering due to at the min losing the momentum of last season.

We need to play with intensity and support the club like we did earlier this year.

The start of the season means that the buzz of the run leading us to stay up has gone.

Flicker has a job to put the play without fear attitude into us.

The worrying thing is we seem to be either putting too much into trying to look solid and scared of not losing rather than winning or just playing and going through early season motions.

Come on flicker, we need that intensity back. Teams who do well in a season play the full season with intensity and desire and not just Jan onwards.

On the way back yesterday on radio lancs Ince said "Barnsley never troubled us". I would think the managers of Wigan and S****horpe could say the same. When are we going to "trouble" another team?

Not sure, but were playing too safe.

Not playing to win instead playing not to lose. Far too much respect shown to the opposition so far.

Need to get back to giving a team no matter who they are a game, turn up with aim of getting 3 vital points.

Just like the bad ole days of Keith hill at the mo, I'm getting concerned already! its time flicker cut all working ties with that bloke and took a look back to what was successful last term, i.e. 3-5-2. Its no coincidence that we fell away and very nearly got relegated at the end of last season by moving away from this system. OK, injury to goldie forced this somewhat but now he's back, whats the problem? I'm getting worried that Mr flitcroft is trying to be Keiths clone and try to run before he can walk properly as a manager. Be your own man flicker and play players in their strongest, most comfortable positions and fook this 4-4-2 nonsense off immediately please!

True that, we look good with 3-5-2 and gives creative players a chance to roam and look dangerous, look too rigid with 4-4-2. Mellis isn't a winger and looks restricted playing there.

We'll be fine, but need to back to what we did n the 2nd part of last season.

How do you know? You knock around with flicker during a weekday do you? so you're saying he never picks the phone up in the managers office for a bit of advice from his bezzy pal? i find that very hard to believe I'm afraid, just looking at the start to this season screams of Hill's type of footy, can you not see the resemblance? :) Truth is, neither you or i know one way or the other but the footy on show so far is Hillesque tbh....

You want 3-5-2, the formation Hill was to introduce after the next international break before he got sacked?

Of course they talk, they are friends. But it's just lazy to start blaming links to Hill every time we have a bad result.

For those of us who don't have player can you summarise what Keef said?

ONE week. That is all it has taken for folk to compare him with Keith. One week.
Forget 4 months of him being the opposite of Keith. Forget the amazing feat he and his staff and players achieved. We lost to who are probably the title favourites, and got robbed of an away point in the last minute against a team top of the embryonic table.
The overreaction from some is astounding. Or it would be, were I not used to the BBS.
And yes, I am also a tad concerned about certain things. You'd be daft if you weren't. But daft also to be ripping into Flitcroft after ONE weeks football.
Let's see how we fare in the next few games eh, before labelling him the worst manager ever?

    I wasn't having a go.

Just saying what would have been obvious, we could never play like we did with the attitude we did, with been level on points with every team.

Even teams aiming for promotion can't play up and at them footy every week.

But we need to have a go at Charlton.

I think we may have to try and get through to deadline day with what we have and hopefully pick up some points on the way, we are probably in a situation where agents are telling there players to hold fire for a couple of weeks in the hope that a club panics and offers them something silly, some may be more willing to join little ol Barnsley when they realise that silly offer aint coming

Bruce Willis lookalike, Film: Hostage (2005). However, someone has poked him in the face to make him angry, and he shouts with a Lancashire accent.

“First game of the season we had a footballing referee virgin, and today we had a referee who was still a virgin”

“It shouldn’t be Ip dip sky blue, or pin the tail on a donkey, but unfortunately it is”

    Performance Keith?

“to-me, to-you, you know, the chuckle brothers a bit”

Intensity, tempo and verve are what are missing from our season thus far. We are playing with fear rather than attempting to impose ourselves on the game. Teams have been sent out to nullify the opposition not to win games. Of course we will not be able to impose ourselves or 90 minutes every game but we mst set out with this intention rather than trying to avoid losing.
