Big test this - he's the only one who looks like a striker so far.

no he isn't, davies looked superb pre-season. strong and quick, but don't let that stop you pulling the club down.

Friendlies v competitive games - bit of a difference, don't you think, ryhill?

No interest in pulling the club down, btw. Just not convinced yet they're going in the right direction.

The sort of qualities Davies showed in pre-season weren't down to the poor opposition.

Think we can only improve with both Davies and Haynes, not one or the other.

Agree, we need both to move on not one or the other.

Power AND Pace, long time since we had both of them up front, wish we'd play Haynes up front now so we could see it in all it's glory.

Hopefully Hill will see that his best position is up top and not waste him out wide. I'm hoping so anyway.

Sorry Hemsworth but your having a laugh mate! If the moneys daft then i agree but to give him stick like that is unreal. He is the best attacking player at the club in my opinion. Definately got to stay if possible.

WE have to keep players like haynes at the club if we are going to move forward even more so if there is no one decent to replace him with.

Like others, hope we keep hold of Haynes, he's a good player and I reckon could form a good partnership with Davies

You name one striker who doesn't miss chances?

According to the chronicle on Friday his goal ratio is 1 in every 3.33 games, that's about 15 goals a season, and the majority of that are from the wing, ah he's pants him.

Since we got back in this league, we've had just 2 strikers more prolific than Haynes, Bogdanovic and Harewood, so why get rid of him when we can't really hope for any better.

We need to be Strengthening not Weakening

The Manager said he would still like two more players.
If Vaz Te is one that still means at least one more.
When you look at the bench, we do need more depth for such occasions when other clubs come calling and players heads are turned.

We are not really in a position to lose anyone else at the moment and Mr Hill will know this as well as any of us.

Lets see what happens, hopefully we will keep Haynes and add to the squad to put us in a better position for the future.

ok archey, he might score 15 in 45 but that takes him 100 chances.

he still scores 1 in 3, which is better than about 95% of strikers we've had over the past 10 years, regardless of how many chances he misses (and i dont think he misses that many, it's not like we were creating shed loads of chances last season)
