We've got a deal where we pay 1.5% below the base rate

Doesn't make that much difference - Mines feckin fixed at 5.49 till September.

Although my building society standard rate is still 4.5% so the savings to me if I was on standard rate is less than £10 a month. I've more than made that back in the 2.5 years I've been fixed on 5.49%.

My bank just keeps sending me the deeds to repossessed houses all over the world instead of knocking money off the mortgage. Which is nice.

This latest cut means I'll probably get an overwater bungalow in Bora Bora.

    Nope

46% are on variable, flexible or tracker products, so a small majority are, actually.

Wish I was on one of them.

My 2 year rate finishes December. IR's will be up to around 10% knowing my luck.

I'm in the same position as you but mine expires in October. I really do expect I'll not see any benefit.

So who was undecided about moving house when interest rates were 1.5%

And has now decided to take the plunge.

My mortgage interest is now £10 a week.

Thats what me mam used to pay! Good old labour Govt. If only I had a job!

I thought they wanted to get the banks lending again

Just how does such a low rate of return encourage anyone to lend money to someone else?!

Not content with screwing up my shares, screwing up my investment ISA etc etc, now my savings don't fecking return owt!
