especially with regards to getting strikers in & the money being spent. Mentions us a couple of times. https://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-news/31938
He's right though how can you promise a player games even if he performs poorly What message is that sending out
How on earth would Mick know if we've promised to play Ugbo? I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, as he prefaces the comment with "I think". However, I've no doubt it will be regarded as absolute fact by some.
Probably just his excuse for not getting him. He's hardly gonna say Barnsley have a good reputation for developing young players and we don't
Yeah... time will tell but I think Macca's putting a bit of spin out there cos we got him and he lost out...
I suspect if you asked a fan (or even representative) from all 72 EFL clubs (and some Prem clubs) what additional players they need, almost all would say another striker. There aren't enough good 'uns to go round. We're in the same boat as most others but with a lot less resources than some. I reckon this merry-go-round won't stop until 31 August.
I think he's a man under pressure, wouldn't be surprised to see him being the first to get the sack next season. Spent loads and not delivered promotion, long list that have done that at Ipswich.
He's got a history of fleecing us. We've got a manager who's a true Barnsley legend, a fan, former player and now doing a better job than we've seen from a manager for decades and yet I bet you there's some on here that, given the choice, would take Big Mick over him. No room in football for sentiment, but McCarthy ain't fit to clean Heckys boots imho.
