from todays Star: Red tape holds up Mostto's Oakwell move MIGUEL Mostto's move to Barnsley has been tied up in red tape and tested the patience of everyone concerned. The deal was first talked about a month ago and it is now looking likely that the 29-year-old marksman will finally join the squad next week during the Portuguese tour. Barnsley boss Simon Davey would have liked the player on board earlier but he remains resolute. "He is worth the wait." Davey did his homework on Mostto. Travelled to Peru to watch him, and noted his performances against crack Argentine sides. Said Davey: "Miguel has got a fantastic pedigree. I went to watch him, he's sharp, he's a goal-scorer with his right foot or left . He's great in the air. He's what you'd class as a fox in the box. He compliments what we've got in the club at the moment. He'll be ideal for us. He added: "I wouldn't say he's lightning quick like Michael Owen, he's just a natural finisher. If he gets a chance he'll score it, he'd probably compare to Robbie Fowler. "If you look at Miguel's record in the last 100-odd games, he's got 57 goals. It's a great strike rate. He's scored against top Argentine sides as well so it's not as if he's been playing against mugs." He's not the biggest and might initially find himself partnering big Istvan Ferenczi in the opening fixtures of next season. Davey has an open mind and admits he could delve again into the transfer market. "At the moment we have big Istvan, Kayode (Odejayi) and Mostto and we've got Michael Coulson coming up in the wings as well. We're on the look out for another striker but we're also monitoring Michael's progress. I'd say other areas are a priority," he explained. Having brought in six new players, it is Davey's job to forge them into a game winning unit. "It's all well and good bringing signings in but they all have to gel together," he said. "It's important that we have a good pre season. The sooner the better we get the players in. "We have a five week training programme and it's important that we're taking the players to Portugal for a week. It will be tough, they'll be training three times a day and they'll have a game at the end of the week."
That Michael Chopra, eh. We told him he was rubbish, didn't we. The £5m price tag fully justifies our booing of him. Rubbish, rubbish Chopra. Not good enough for League One.
RE: "Fox in the box" Jim in the quim. I mean Dobbin, obviously. I bet he cocked a few - even with his melted face.

She's in my 2nd favourite South Park ever. The dog killing itself is pure class. They ought to do an up to date version of the film "Trading Places". Britney could play Eddie Murphy & Paris could play the bloke from Ghostbusters. I could come up with ideas like that all day.
