Maybe fans expect more following on from previous comments of year on year progress? Maybe he has realised it is not as easy as hje first thought? I have to agree with him here though simply fact is we are one of the smaller clubs in the league with a low average attendance/limited budget! http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11713_5337036,00.html
True, but ... ... being a young manager you make mistakes, but you are expected to learn from them. Davey does not, plus the problems are:

[*]Alienating players for no good reason, or at least as far as the fans are concerned, which does not help with limited resources.[*]Continually playing players out of position, just to prove you are right.[*]Sticking week-in, week-out, with under-performing players when you have competent backups on the bench.[*]Bizarre tactics on too many occasions.[*]Playing negatively trying not to lose on too many occasions.[*]Never giving any of the Acadamy players a chance, which fighting for your life at the end of each season does not help.[*]The farcical misuse of RNL to deflect attention away from him, and then being forgotten for the season.[*]Never having a Plan B in a game.[*]Losing so many matches in the last 5-10 minutes and not being able to address it as the season progressed.[/list] That's it for now.

Didint Ritchie get booted out for saying something similar In any case I dont buy it - look at Burnley and Preston - look at our record over the last century or so I rmember reading an article some time ago (actually about Nottingham Forest) which stated that clubs have a natural level. Sometimes they over achieve (Like Forest Did when they won Titles and the European cup etc) and othertimes they under acheive relegation to 3rd division. This article had Forests Natural level as being boarderline between prem and championship. Our Natural level is a mid championship club - we also know from past experience that if we can deliver the goods there is the potential fan base there just look at the gate increase under Clarke and Hunter, and under Wilson- it just takes time to get the floating/part time fans in - and some entertaining football of course
I'm convinced that we have the worst PR machine in the entire Football league Wheres the positivity?
Where's the us against the rest chest beating sound bites?
If I was a player I'd want to be finding myself another club if all we have to look forward to is a relegation battle. No wonder no fooker wants to sign for us either.
The media side of BFC is a flaming joke and generally PC is at the front of it.

Yep... as Farnham says below, we have potential and are a bigger club than teams that have finished a lot higher than us, certainly one of the play off finalists are not a big a club as we are now, never mind of we were ambitious and at least believed we could push on. We are excusing a lack of belief in ourselves here that is endemic throughout the club.
is he stayin or bleedin goin cryne is he gunna hum n arr all summer and shoot ourselves in the foot yet again when :- • all best / affordable players will have been snapped up • we will be left with over priced prim donnas • bairns from the premiership • foreign crap you have never heard of unless you search utube • same underachievers we have now
RE: Didint Ritchie get booted out for saying something similar What do you mean about Burnley and Preston? Surely they are bigger clubs than us?
RE: I'm convinced that we have the worst PR machine in the entire Football league "us against them"???? It is a little pot kettle black when it seems not even our own fans are behnd the club/manager!
Cryne Wants Us To Back Off Davey........ but he's the one who openly told the public that Davey should tell the fans why he should keep his job.
RE: No, no they are not.. you will always get exceptions to the rules though and in most cases they are one offs e.g. colchester verge of the playoffs relegated the next season, Reading great first year in the prem relegated the following, Rotherham in the championship now league 2 What gets me is the SD knockers/boo boys will use this for a reason why we should do better and not use the size of the club as an excuse but on the flip side look at teams who have gone down this year and previous years Leeds and Lecietser, as mentioned you always get exceptions to the rules which is why we all love football, you never know what to expect just ask Newcastle!!!
That's Right Farnham Andy Ritchie got sacked for things he said that showed a lack of ambition and now Cryne seems to have changed his mind when Davey as done no better than Ritchie.
Sorry Patrick but, with respect, your wrong. The only reason he has alienated the fans is because of his inability to get the team to play decent football. This resulted in a struggle to get results and near relegation. Nowt to do with Referees and Bad luck or injuries. We have the making of a decent team, that would be a 'winning' team with a couple of good signings. But it is difficult to see how this will happen, regardless of his loyalty.
