Have a look at these career WIN %'s...

    Phil Brown 30%

    S O'Driscoll 36%

    Billy Davies 41%

    Gary Megson 35%

    Paul Ince 44%

    Keith Hill @ Barnsley 25%

I know stats don't tell the full story but the extra 5-10% win ratio in terms of points over a season could be 12-15 points, a fair bit really and defo the difference between staying up and mid table, or mid table and a play off place / promotion.

Looking at this tells me it's time for an experienced manager and play the percentages, not the risk of an unproven or up and coming manager again.

Finally, out of the names above only SO'D, BD and PI are the only managers to win more games than they have lost!! With BD having the greatest margin.

From that list I'd pick O'Driscoll.

I would have Billy Davies.......don't particularly like him as a bloke, but he would be a good manager/leader for BFC at a time when we really need one.

Everyone seems to have missed the point that O'Driscoll got Donny relegated.

No he didnt, that was down to the bizarre scatter gun approach to signing players after he left, He had them near the bottom , I will grant you that!

Fair point. 35% win percentage produces 48 points from wins alone; 25% produces 35.

what about their draws and losses too

that would be a better showing for me.Would give a better set of stats to judge on. I mean if the other % was totally losses or heavy on that side then some there are crap. If they are mainly draws then some a deent. Am I making sense ?

Phil Brown's stats somewhat skewed by Hull's hammering in the Premiership.

If you pool all the championship games of Ritchie, Davey, & Robins that win percentage is 30%, so anything more than that on paper we have a better manager than we have had since promotion.

I'd go for Paul Ince. Struggled in the Prem but as yet unknown quantity in the Championship having done really well in Leagues 1 and 2...
