Hullhave gone for experience ... Mills, Windass, Parlour .. all of whom have masses of experience at this level or above
but whom are all in the twilight stages of theit careers.
Barnsley have gone for youth ... Jones, McCann, Mattis and our eastern european friends. none have experience at this level [not sure of the Hungarian league's level] but they all have a future in the game.
Be interesting to see which path proves the more fruitfull.
Personally, if we were mid table I'd opt for our choices, and build for the future, but given our precarious position I think I'd opt for experience.
That said I know nowt abart football :$

Hull Have........ shown more ambition in the transfer market. But that doesn't mean they are going to do better than us.
Hull's signings are "on loan" aren't they? Interesting post. Hull have gone for a "temporary" fix - as all the players you mention are on loan. Presumably, they are not tied to the club beyond the end of this season. Barnsley could be accused of taking the "cheap option", but it's worth pointing out that we have had to pay transfer fees for the people we have recently brought in.
Lets just say this............I'd be much happier with the Hull approach than ours Hull - the quick fix other than adding more young uns on top of more young uns As for money spent - Hull have to find expensive wages - so they probably spent more in the long run Experience - we have been screaming out ALL season for experience - and we still ant got any (N) (N) (N)
I dont think we had much choice The likes of Parlour, Flo, Thompson and Watson probably wouldnt come to Barnsley. As much as we love BFC the clubs still seen as an unfashionable little club in most quarters.
