On the 30th August last season, after 4 games, Burnley had 2 points and were in the bottom 3 Charlton were all nice and cosy in 11th spot Now then, where could they be now? Chill out you lot
RE: They then won 5 of their next 6 games... What Burnley did last season has absolutely no bearing on what we do this season. Can never for the life of me understand such an argument but if it brings comfort to people, so be it.
No faith in Davey until he put points on the board It's all talk with Simon Davey. He doesn't know how to win games. The best he can string together is a run of draws and call it an 'unbeaten' spell.

For what its worth, my opinion (I'll probably get ripped to shreds for it) Last night Preston were LUCKY, they had probably 6 chances on goal all game, if they carry on like that all season they'll go down as well. If we could finish a ball we would have easily won last night, and I am sure Preston will come up against better strikers than ours and get torn apart. but lady luck was on their side. How many chances did we have that were blocked by their defenders rear end and went out for a corner, the first time it happens to us it gets deflected into the net!!! The problem we have is in defence pure and simples, for long spells last night we dominated the game up front and they just couldn't cope with us But for me if Davey dosen't get any more defenders in over the next couple of weeks he deserves everything he gets, we have all known for a while now that is what we need, a left back and a centre back.
No, but... ... in 10 games between 4 Oct 2008 and 24 Nov 2008 we got 19 out of 30 points. Could happen again ? although it's more likely that we repeat Jan 09 (nil points)
