In light of recent reports claiming that the CIA is hacking in the people's a hardware at home and listening there have been a a few people worried that their home assistants from Google and Amazon have been hacked. A few people have released videos where they ask their device a few questions. Owner: Alexa (Amazon echo) would you like to me? Alexa: (after a bit about sometimes getting information wrong accidentally) would never intentionally lie to you. Owner: Alexa what is the CIA Alexa: gives a definition of the via Owner: Alexa are you connected to the CIA? Alexa: shuts down and refuses to answer. That happens EVERY single time the question is asked on every video regardless of who asks it. Now on to Googles version, Google home. Owner: Ok Google would you like to me? Google home: i have been programmed never to lie to you. Owner: ok Google what is the cia? Google home: gives definition of the via Owner: ok Google are you connected to the via? Google home: to be honest I'm not sure Just thought they were interesting responses.
There's a video going round at the minute of Alexa making allegations about Barack Obama. Something isn't quite right and yet you can bet in 5 years time, most homes in the US and probably the UK will have one of these devices. Sent from space using satellites and things
