Eyebrows were raised within the Football Association when Barnsley did not even request a personal hearing over their ineligible player charge which saw them expelled from the FA Cup. I wonder why this was ?
Because they were bang to rights and had no defence, is my guess. With the other inquiry rumbling on in the background, it’s probably also in our interest to be as cooperative as possible right now, on anything else that pops up.
I'm guessing no one could be arsed to show up. Whatever is happening with the CEO is just bizarre, The board need to take some action. The job ad for a director of football, whilst not a bad idea shows the club is rudderless. Barnsley are a decent sized club, you don't need to be advertising for a Director of Football on your website FFS. I took Barnsley to a European Cup final in 1997 on Championship Manager. I tick most of the other boxes. How many useless CVs like mine need to be sifted? I'm behind them, but I'm completely unsure where we are going. They have put money into the club & reduced the stake of Conway, et al I've nearly written this season off as a period of transition, but would like to be proved wrong.
Sorry, don’t understand why cooperating on this would help with that as it has no bearing on it at all or am I missing something?
What you may be missing is that it is in our best interests at the moment to appear as though we are merely incompetent in applying the rules of others to our business, rather than wilfully ignorant of and hostile to them. And in being so merely incompetent, we are still nevertheless respectful of a governing body's rules rather than challenging of them, and thus should be treated by the EFL with the respect of a club that seeks to co-operate rather than clash with them. Exhibiting, in our circumstances, the culture of a club that thinks that they know better despite having massively cocked up with no excuses, is not perhaps the way to go.
