Im with Virgin at mo (with tv,phone and broadband) but Virgin have just hiked my bill up cos my 12 month contact has run out Just looking around and can get Sky TV and Broadband and Sky Talk for around the price i was with Virgin. But its the internet usage allowance im worried about as im not upto date with that. 2GB usage with Sky compared to Unlimited with Virgin. Now is this for downloads or general usage i.e. the more i use the more usage i will have? TIA, im a liitle thick with that
just ring rm back and tell em your moving, they will give you a loyalty discount, worked every year for 12 years or more
I work for an ISP and usage is EVERYTHING that you download from the internet, either web pages, movies or whatever. 2gb is only really any good if all you do is browse the net.
Thats all i do, browse the net. So if doing what Uncle Mort says and ringing them up and saying im moving doesnt work, the 2gb will be ok for daily surfing?
RE: this is what I get for £30pm And how you get all that?? Im getting XL TV, M Broadband and M phone for £30. well was til they decided to take £52 (including a few 0845 calls to Next and Npower)
RE: plus it never goes off in bad weather nt Aye i know. Cant fault Virgin at all and really dont wanna move but i aint paying all that each month
RE: this is what I get for £30pm tell em you are only going to pay what new subscibers pay, and that its not fair you should pay more
RE: this is what I get for £30pm Well bloke who i spoke to, well lets say wasn't english and could hardly understand what he was saying, said that he could downgrade my tv to large package and that would put my prices down. Im gonna try again 2moz and hopefully speak to an english person
It's for both mate. 2GB isn't alot if you stream videos regularly on youtube, download MP3's etc. Try this link, it will let you know how much roughly you'd use. http://freebb.orange.co.uk/time/usagecalculator/ Just ignore the orange part.
Mate, ring this number for Virgin 01142202549. It's a number that gets you through to Sheffield, the one I always ring and get much better customer service. You find exactly what you want with other providers and work out the cost - sky, phone rental, broadband - the best deals possible. Tell them thats what you are going to do. In fact, go through as though you are definitely cancelling (be prepared to go through with it, because if all else fails, you can call them back immediately and tell them u made a mistake). I'm almost certain they will at least match what the other providers are offering.
a few months back we exceeded our 30gb limit from BT :/ So we upgraded to unlimited and got a home hub
RE: this is what I get for £30pm got my bill today £33, £3 for daytime calls that has now been sorted. free any time for 01-02 numbers
