    The last paragraph;

    “I see the move as a step on in my career. I wanted to keep playing regular Championship football and now I will be at a club who are genuine promotion contenders rather than a club who were play-off contenders at best.”

    You've contradicted yourself a bit there Danny lad, cos Leicester are BELOW BFC IN THE TABLE

    No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.
    What he means is: "**** loads more money. For me."

    Anything else is a lie.

    Correct. But you can't blame him. Oh no. He DESERVES to retire at 35.

    Whilst Leicester are below us in the table, I don't think he's really referring to this season but next and season after. Leicester will be mentioned as promotion contenders, we aren't - simple as that. Also he was only on loan here

    agreed but who wouldn't want a lot more money....can't fault him.

    i do wish someone would actually say ' i am going for more money ' ......thereev would have a lot more respect for em if that was the case.

    Me too. I suppose "further my career" is a roundabout way of saying that, as bigger clubs spend more money.

    Knackers to that. If he'd just said that a financial package like that couldn't be turned down, I'd have had more respect for him than this crock of schitt. Leicester aren't genuine promotion contenders. When were they that? Hard to see much beyond the merry-go-round of owners, managers, screwed creditors to contemplate the Foxes going up. Far from wishing him well, I now hope this much-vaunted tilt at promotion goes tits-up for Leicester and his career with it (see also Howard, Shackell, Hammill...yadda yadda....)

    I don't blame Drinkwater for leaving for cash. He needs to recoup the money he lost from backing your double star naps browsing this board somehow.

    Shame about the last Paragraph

    If thats what he actually said

    I was with him all the way until he said that

    He owes us nothing of course and there is no way we would have coughed up a million for him so I have no problem with him deciding he is better at Leicester but the Genuine promotion vs playoff at best is ********

    Might have got away with it had he signed for West Ham or Southampton but it looks a bit pathetic when he signs for a club below us in the league who we comfortably outplayed
