The disparity between the haves and the have nots is eye watering and this demonstrates why it only hurts teams like us more when small clubs are promoted.
Champiosnhip has changed massively Beyond all reasonable argument now - this is not our 'natural' level and we have done remarkably well to maintain our status. Long term we won't if that contiues. Odd exceptions get relegated with lots of cash and promoted with little, but on balance we are swimming against the tide. Would serve some on here well to not only read that but actually understand it and what it inevitably means.
So we managed to generate £1.5m less than Peterborough and over £3m less than Millwall. People will still say what a well run club we are.
Equally we have not tried to bankrupt oursleves trying to keep up. We have historically been in this division whilst other teams have higher attendances. which could indicate we are better run or have a better working 'atmosphere'. I hope we can see the full intention of FFP in effect. Granted teams will always flaunt the rules but I bet we would fair better in the league if teams weren't allowed to piss money they dont have.
