Which is best? I'm looking to make calls, text a bit and browse the web a bit but i don't know enough about what each is caple of yet. So which fits that bill best?

BBerry looks like being more cost effective but how good is the web browsing on it?

As fun as the iphone looks i doubt i'd use it's many apps/functions more than a few times.

Also can you run Barnsley World (comm) on either?

    thanks in advance

    Oily

don't know about barnsley world, but browser works well on BB. Although I do have issues seeing full posts on here, but think thats more to do with the site than anything else as BBC mobile is superb.

I can recommend the Curve it's great as a gadget and music player (takes sd micro so can have up to 16gb of space) but more importantly it's an excellent phone and texter, which is where I gather the iPhone isn't that good.

Thanks. Sounds like the iphone is cool but i question how much i'd use it's functions. Gagging to get away from my PC to listen to the comm on a sat. There must be a way to find out if BB supports Windows player or any other platform to play World. Anyone?

Not really able to answer properly

But the new improved Barnsley player is flash based rather than windows media player based

No idea if you can get a suitable flash plugin for smartphones though. For a laugh I might try my phone which runs Symbian OS and Safari tomorrow night and see what happens but I am not hopeful.

You really need someone who has tried on an iphone or blackberry to see if it will work for you though.

Or email the tech support on the Player pages - you never know you might get a helpful answer
