I've just downloaded the latest version of itunes but now I can't get my ipod to open onto the song screen. It will play if I press play but now I can't delete any songs. I know that doesn't really make sense, but any ideas of how to sort it out would be helpful
    Thanks

Sorry if this sounds obvious but if you can get into I tunes, can you not reset it to the original factory settings -it give you this option if you plug in you Ipod to the PC and then select '(your name usually) Ipod', down the left hand side of I-tunes.

I had the same problem. In the end I had to restore it to factory settings and re-install everything again. A pain in the wotsits but it's working fine again now. Apparently they do this at times.

All ipods (and other MP3 players for that matter), seem to freeze up from time to time. My sisters older U2 edition ipod is especially bad or it. Simply restore factory settings and upload everything again. It's pretty straight forwards, just means you may have to have the thing plugged into itunes for 20mins while it uploads all your thrash metal music back on.
