You have to put the music on using iTunes software, but they don't need to be downloaded from the iTunes store. Just drag the files from wherever you store them on your PC and drop them into the main music pane in iTunes, then sync your Nano.

Are you desperate for the newest design?

If not go to the Apple online store and see what's in their refurbished section. They've currently got the 3rd gen 8gb models for £72.00 delivered free the next day. I've had two from their refurb store and believe me they come as new - not a mark on them. I think they use it as a way of offloading older stock.

No Nanos in stock at the moment, but it changes every day, so keep checking. Otherwise Laskys are about the cheapest I've seen online for the new models - as low as £102.79 delivered for the 8gb in blue.

What you really should do though is buy from the Apple store and get the exclusive RED one!!

Yep, they're the ones. Bit wider than the latest, but not as tall - diff shape entirely really. They're the ones I got my lads this year. Both completely mint.
