I'm after an iPod as a gift and I can't make my mind up whether to get them the Touch or the new Nano. Can't see much difference in the spec other than the games on the touch - any recommendations?

Also, anyone know anywhere that's got 'em at a decent price? Seen about £115 for the Nano and £150 for the Touch (both 8GB).

    Cheers

I've got the touch one - love it

As pointed out you can download the apps from apple store - loads of good free ones and you can surf the net in a free wireless area - places like Maccies and some pubs have them now and they are becoming more common

If your bothered about sound quality - don't get any.

    Get a Sony instead.

That's the conclusion the Gadget Show came to also

Just to be completely different, I went for a Zune.

Sony is miles infront for sound and ease of use

Especially if you get the extra 'Media Manager' update from the one issued with the player.
Think it cost 5 or 6 quid.

You are not tied to the I Tunes system and can add any of your own or downloaded
    music with ease.

Creative Labs MP3 players have better sound quality

and are cheaper in terms of £s per Gb of storage.

Also you don't have to use iTunes which totally kills your PC.
