Ipswich fans supporting Barnsley in FA Cup

Just wanted to let you know that Ipswich fans are supporting Barnsley in the FA cup.

We all remember a great day at Wembley in 2000 when we met in the play-off final.

The Barnsley fans were superb that day. We played footy matches in a pub garden, and met some very friendly supporters before, and more importantly, after the game. A friend of my still has a Barnsley flag given to him on the day.

Anyway, genuinely all the best for the cup.

 

Cheers mate, I think we all have very fond memories of that day despite the result and our subsequent painful decline, which despite our cup run this season I still believe we haven't fully recovered from. Good luck for the rest of the season, hopefully you'll sneak into the play-offs if you can improve on your dodgy away record (starting after tonight of course!)

Nice to hear

Obviously not the result that I wanted at Wembley, but I could stomach it because we were beaten by the better team on the day who also finished higher than us in the division. I'm not particularly a big fan of the play offs but I'll overlook that if we go up via that route again!

I've been down to Portman Road a couple of times & although I've never seen us win, it's usually been a pleasant enough experience. Especially as being a disabled supporter, I have to sit with your fans!
