****FAO ANYONE WHO HAS CONNECTIONS/CAN SPEAK TO SOMEONE AT THE CLUB**** PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BFC don't leave this as a CAT A game like the Hull game last year which was on sky. Why not use this as a 1 off game 2 really fill the ground. A sky match just before xmas is going to be a very low crowd, itfc will brin...g very few fans now. With 3 months to plan it, as a season pass holder I would love to see the north stand full of home fans. Itfc could go in the north half of the west stand. How about a one off offer of £5 for adults £2 for oap/16-18 & free for u16s, make it a happy xmas from BFC promo. Then get everyone in & promote the boxing day game v Blackpool & the big NYE game v Leeds! This would be a fantastic gesture from BFC to really get the town behind the team, think of how good it would look on sky to have the ponty, east & half of the west & north stands full of home fans. Some of these WOULD come back for the Blackpool & Leeds games!
Would be a great idea plus the club really wouldnt loose out on what they usually bring in cause sky will be giving them a nice pay cheque but i dont think the people in charge see these ideas as we do they just want us to be paying full whack.
Dream on It will never happen. It will be just like the Ipswich-Coventry game on Sky on monday - like a morgue.
Re: Dream on So would season ticket holders get some refund? If they did start doing £5 games and reduced games outside the price plan that made buying a season ticket a worthwhile investment, then come next season folk will think twice about renewing.
Re: Dream on That's why I said a ONE off offer W1zzi0. Anyway, my pass will be paid off after attending 13 matches if you break down the average price of a match ticket, so it's far better value getting a pass than paying onthe day!!
Re: Dream on the club should do something like a 3 pack offer, buy a donny and leeds ticket and get a free or heavily discounted ticket for the ipswich game.... try and entice floating fans into the ground instead of watching on tv...
Re: Dream on Agreed....I suggested in the other thread on this subject that to buy a Leeds ticket you have to buy an Ipswich ticket for £10
Re: Dream on Maybe the club could charge the same match day price as season ticket holders are paying ,£13 ?, with a message on the ticket saying 'if you had bought a season ticket every match would have been this price'........you won't be losing out to anyone then
tight git! I have season ticket and wouldn't mind if they had 5 games at a fiver. I buy the season ticket more for convenience rather than saving. Even if they did have a game for a five why any ST holder would expect some kind of refund is beyond me. Whose to say a fiver game isn't built into the price of a season ticket anyway
Re: Dream on And that's maybe why they won't cos EVERY time summat like this is mentioned there's the same "season ticket refund". Jesus. I have a season ticket to guarantee my seat with my mates. I wouldnt care if there's a couple £5 games if it gets a lot more in
Re: Dream on I don't think there are many ST holders who would to be fair. I certainly wouldn't, in fact I encourage the club to do it so us ST holders can experience a big crowd every now and again.
Re: tight git! Point was, we weigh up the cost of the up front price of a season ticket against the cost of paying as you go. The price of both are known at the start of the season. If you start tinkering with prices half way through the season then the benefit of saving up and committing to a full season is reduced. Tinker too much and you'll effect next seasons ST sales. I'm not against a one off reduction, but you can't go changing a structure 2 months into a season.
Re: Dream on I am a ST holder, yet have nil problem with a one off game for a fiver.. anybody who does has serious issues.. I agree entirely with the OP and have sent a similar msg/idea to the Supporters Trust link that Gally posted in the sticky above. But its a good idea, hence the club WONT do it.
