The Owls are believed to have offered £1.5m for 21-year-old Sharp. </p> "Sheffield Wednesday have made a bid and we have turned it down," said Scnuthorpe boss Nigel Adkins. </p> "There is going to be a lot of speculation throughout the summer about Billy as he is a hot property. He is our player and we want him to stay." </p> Sharp has been with Scnuthorpe since joining in August 2005 from Sheffield United for a fee of £100,000. </p> Adkins added: "We have spoken to his agent and both he and Billy are well aware that we want him to stay. </p> "It is going to be a long summer, it is still early days, and the scenario is that this situation will run and run for the length of the summer. </p> "But Billy Sharp will not leave unless there is a move that is right for him and Scnuthorpe United are reimbursed accordingly." </p></font></td></tr></tbody></table>
