Alnwick Kennedy Crainie Etuhu Perkins Dawson Harewood Dagnall Stones Golbourne .....Hill signings all. Lower league rubbish I seem to remember. Fascinating that Keith couldn't get these guys playing with the verve and passion they are now doing. I was a Keith fan but recognised he had to go. Broken and confused. The more I think about it the more I have come to believe it was a lot to do with his pessimistic and downbeat approach. Keith never allowed us to dream. In the end he just beat the dream out of us. Flicker has recognised the hunger we have (even tho its down to 8000)....and he's cute enough to realise he can tap into that and kick some momentum into the club. Footy is all about dreaming of the next step up. For us, we have been thoroughly galvanised by flickers positivity and his inspiring talk of town grafters and fighting for every blade of grass and with every sinew. Management - amazing. A bit of positivity can go so far. That being said, lets please please stay off his back when we lose a game. PATIENCE! Please. Note to self - stop posting when pissd
Think Hill stated Dawson was a player Flicker wanted it makes you wonder how much imput he had in the signings. Good and bad mindst.
When we played Chelsea in cup I remember going into town and in every pub was a positive atmosphere, walking to the ground was very high tempo with expectation and inside the ground there was a belief and confidence which was electric and made it a very intimidating atmosphere which the Chelsea payers acknowledged after the game. Just by talking to reds fans and listening to the game I think that atmosphere will carry us through to a positive outcome at the end of the season .
