Bin day for us tomorrow. Considering canvassing BMBC, to automatically increase council tax for anyone who spray paints their house number on their wheelie bin.
Well you did say it was irrational, lol. Please tell me how I find my bin when, more often than not it ends up 100 yards away... lol
People on our estate put out more than one bin and leave them away from their houses. The Council just empty them.
Is it the act of spray painting that you object to, as opposed to a numbered sticker? Or any form of identifying ones bin?
The act of spray painting. Especially them that run down the bin, so you can’t even tell what the number is. Stickers are a quid each from B&Q.
I painted my number on all my bins, it run a bit but it’s fine. Not buying sticker numbers when I have paint in the shed
How about electronic tagging of bins or remotely-controlled bins or even homing bins imbued with AI and an almost human-like love for their genuine owners? You may think I'm just being silly........
I love bin day.We (me and the bin men) play a game i’ve loving called “who’s drive will my bin end up outside this week”
We play a different game. Many years ago I filled the bin with rubbish. Every couple of weeks the bin men come and tip all that rubbish all over the drive. I then collect it all back up and put it back in the bin. A few items I noticed this week were receipts from Leo's and Ray Allan's, a busted Spacehopper and a broken Etchasketch, the saddle off a Raleigh chopper, a corner piece from a Rubik's cube and some Deely Boppers.
SEXISM POST ALERT: Woman dropping their kids at school then totally forgetting how to Fuking drive……..a take my daughter every morning and shake my head most mornings……..there’s one woman and she can’t even park square to the curb, how she passed her test legally is a minor miracle. Anyhow, apologies to the girl power group but that’s my whinge of the day, have a good day in the kitchen, a mean work
How do you feel about hand painted numbers? And hasp n staples with padlocks ? After some naughty behaviour from HMO’s I resorted to it, on one occasion I found my bin in next street about 60m away and it was full of building rubble! I was in my rights to tip it on their back garden path. #binnazi
