Is 17th November a tad early to be putting Xmas decorations up at home?

Yes. People who put xmas deccys up that early obviously have nothing else going on in their lives. The overkill on some houses is silly too.

December 6th at the earliest. Three weeks before is more than enough.

There are plenty who have them up 12 months a year!

I'm just coping with the lgihts its when the Christmas songs start anytime now.

Its the only time of the year when they can only play songs from 70s and 80s as not one good Christmas song has been written in 30-40 years.

I'm so looking forward to 2 January - not such much Donny on the lash but that the week of over-the-top hype is over. Bah humbug

I'd say one week before and 12 days after is long enough.

    Just a tad.

Someone on my facebook though mentioned about putting them up early and said "It's unlucky before 12th night"....she thinks that means they are put up on 12th Dec, not that 12th night is when you are supposed to take them down!
