personally i dont think we will get relegated and am fully behing what keith hill is trying to do. all these IDIOTS that stay away from Oakwell are causing the club to go downhill. the club needs all the money it can to challenge in this league. if fans arnt coming through the turnstyles then thats less money to go spend improving the team! no money = no players of championship experience coming in because we cant afford the wages! why not just get behind keith hill and more importantly behind the club we love??? why cant people just be realistic; we're never going to get back to the prem, we wont challenge for the playoffs, and we wont finish in the top half. . . but thats barnsley football club for you . . . if we avoid relegation it will be a good acheivement for the club! if you dont like it **** OFF and quit ya moaning! but no doubt you will be back when we have won a few matches and want to just on the bandwagon! and while im at it . . . bobby hassell is no where near as good as folk make out. he's average at best! wiseman is the pick of the new signings so far and is a much better player!
he's not that good but he'd have done a better job than wiseman at right back, mceveley at left back, addison at defensive mid and edwards at centre half on tuesday night as they were all abysmal the rest of what you're saying i agree with and we WILL get better over the coming weeks, hopefully in time for some easier fixtures in october
Think the idiots are the ones that sanctioned the wages of the players, therefore making the game expensive to watch, so losing fans. Not just our club by the way. Also sounds like you and others would prefer fans(revenue) to stay away from Oakwell just so you dont have to hear them moan, how does that fit in with not being able to afford players with Championship experience.
I wouldn't call people who don't go "idiots", I'm thinking shelling out almost £400 makes me an idiot. Don't forget that we are in the midst of recession and not everyone can afford to buy a season ticket or spend £20+ every other week for a game if we aren't even going to be entertaining. Fortunately I can afford it, might not be the case next season as I have to re-apply for my job in October, but even so, if the best we can hope for is just to avoid relegation every season then I can think of a few other things that I could spend the money on. Me and my mate have even mentioned that we just do pub crawls every other Saturday afternoon in different towns....at least I'd be guaranteed a decent time and decent ale!
Won't it be great when all the discerning folk have departed this board. You'll be saying then - "Better we are in the Isthmian League than no club at all!" Hahaha!
