Could be a direct result of Taylor's words bringing the price crashing down on Robins. He said he wanted "A young manager, currently in work, with proven success, not necessarily at Championship level". He may as well have said "And he must be called Mark" "And Have a surname that makes you think of a bird with a red breast"
Surely they would have just offered shorter odds on names that fitted and lengthened odds on ones that didn't??
RE: Surely they would have just offered shorter odds on names that fitted Suppose it depends on betting patterns. If money is piling on to one man they will immediately suspect someone knows and until they know otherwise they will then assume that the rumour is correct - accepting any further bets on that basis is chucking money away, no matter how short the odds.
I hope not I'd hope they would spend time interviewing a number of people and making an informed decision.
RE: I hope not I would hope that Cryne might have anticipated having to get rid of Davey after the first few matches and have an idea who he wants just in case it happened
