Duncan Bannatyne Moving from the Metrodome to Bannatyne's "Health Club" is one of the most rediculous ideas i have heard for some time. It makes no financial sense whatsoever. All those extra fees just to avoid having to take your own towel? It'll never catch on. I have much better uses for my disposable income and I won't be investing in a membership. I'm out......
RE: He he ... very good. nt i left it when it was living well - went to jjb find it alot better when can be arsed to go! lol
Well I think you are wrong .......... .... I see a market opportunity here and I'm in I'm prepared to contribute 31.459% of the required membership fee provided someone will match me. However, for that I want to own 40% of the dumbells and the revenue they attain for the next 20 years.
Had a months membership bought a couple of years ago,was also a member of both the old and new metrodome gyms plus the old bulldog/one to one, now a member of JJB which is better than the rest of them, probably cos it's newer.
Things look to be picking up since Bannatyne's took over. Staff more attentive, maintenance and cleaning improved and the new gym equipment just installed is superb state of the art stuff. Slightly more expensive than JJB, but if you live west of the motorway, is more convenient and you will save extra in time and fuel.
Mine's a time thing. Looked at JJb when I joined last year and have to say gym looked better and prices were better, but I live about 5 minutes for Dodworth and would take about 2o minutes (if it was busy) to get to JJbB and that would be all the excuse I need to sit on my fat a** and not go. So hence joined Living Well. Not sure what membership cost is per month. I paid £640 for 14 months up front. New equipment is good and needed as some of the old stuff was getting a bit knackerd, but at the end of the day one running machine is the same as the other once you get past a funky display.
