I'm currently downloading The Godfather PC-DVD which is s 3.18 GB file.

I started it last night and it is currently only 1GB downloaded although it has uploaded 1.4 GB.

I am running it on a 2.8 Ghz pentium D (Dual core) processor with 320 GB hard drive.

Is this a normal download timeframe? It seems to be taking wars to download.

    I think the deal is

The more files (or parts thereof) you have, it kinda works as currency for download speed, so getting started in the torrent game is slow going.

Keep an eye on the newsgroups - that's the quickest way (unless you're with Wanadoo, who've just scrapped Newsgroup access!)

    I'm with Blueyonder cable

So I know fck-all about ADSL.
Did a bit of research to help Spartacus pick a provider last year, who turned out to be rubbish.
So I'm taking my ball home where ADSL recommendations are concerned.
