Misfiring Cardiff side who despise Leeds United against Hull side fighting for their life.

Reasonably on form Leeds United at home to a side got nothing to play for.

WBA looking like they are going to be fighting on the last day.

If Derby lose this weekend then chances are they will have absolutely nothing to play for on the last day.

3 points is an absolute must for us on Saturday.

If any side has got the least bit of respect , they should always

go out to win. Having been to Portman Road Ipswich can score goals

I've done my swede in thinking about all the permutations . The re-assuring thing is that it's in our own hands. The players seem not to think that it's job done. If we were playing Ipswich this Saturday and needing to go to Derby to win I think I'd have chalked fck on it. Leeds are poxy sticky horrible b'stards though and that unctious little **** that's their manager so I have no doubt that they'll escape. Thee watch.

We'll win on Saturday.

The players are up for it after reading the website, and the confidence after three unbeaten can only help. I would love Leeds to get relegated, and I have no doubts that one of them will lose this weekend.

He's got a couple lined up from what's been said. Holden is going there pre-season to be assistant.

There are thousands of possible permutations

of results from the last 2 games for us, Leeds, and Hull, and we can only go down with 5 of them, I reckon

Reds: LL, Leeds: WW, Hull: WW
Reds: LL, Leeds: WW, Hull: WD
Reds: LL, Leeds: WW, Hull: DW
Reds: DL, Leeds: WW, Hull: WW
Reds: LD, Leeds: WW, Hull: WW

Any other set of results (and there are thousands of possible ones - any mathematicians wanna work this out? 6 numbers, 3 possible values in each? Not clever enough myself), we're safe.
Still, I'm sh1tting it now and will be even more so on Saturday.
You Reds.

27 x 27 = 729 possible results

if you just consider us Hull and Leeds

if you include Leicester-who theoretically could still go down it becomes 81 x 81 = 6561 possible results

Cheers, that means...

all other things being equal, and excluding Leicester from the equation, the odds of us going down are 146-1, or a probability of .007.
But this is football. And this is Barnsley. So we're still sh1tting it.

paul.d, I read and appreciate many of your statistics, but surely there are only 27 possible permutations between us, hull and leeds? 81 if you include Leicester?

I could be wrong, mate. Keep up the good work anyway.

No, there are loads

Think about it:

BFC LEEDS HULL
WW WW WW
WW WW WD
WW WW DW
WW WW WL
WW WW LW
WW WW DD
WW WW LL
WW WW DL
WW WW LD

Thats 9 possible combinations just varying Hull and keeping us and Leeds constant on 2 wins. Do the same variations keeping us constant on 2 draws or 2 defeats, you get 27. Then, mix in all the other combinations of results for us and Leeds, while keeping Hull constant or varying, and bingo, your head explodes.
This is all getting rather spoddy.

Sorry mate, I misunderstood the post. Thought you meant just this Saturday's results.

I agree - 27 permutations for each of the last two fixtures makes 729 possible results (as paul.d originally said!)
