I'm not. Last time we played this lot in a cup it was a larger margin in the beating, and they had a team of much lesser quality. We have made it to the quarters , we have made a lot of much needed money. Just hope we can stay in the championship and then use that cash to good effect. The Gulf in quality was the same as that between Swansea and Bradford... no one in the country dissed Bradford. OK its been mentioned on here that the BBC has said we underperformed , thats one mans view. I would ask any of the teams in the bottom 8 of the championship if they woulda liked to have been at The Etihad instead of us today, I will put my shirt on it and say that all woulda said yes. So what happens if we do go down , do we burn Flitcroft at the stake. I want him to stay, keep a good chunk of what we have , hopefully use some of the Cup run/Stones money and bounce right back. There ya 's all go the Dragon doing a bit of "Land of Hope and Glory". NURRRRRSSSSSSE HELP MEEEEEEEE
not at all , what I think is that it just exagerated our defensive failings, I know they said City were pulling us apart but too often we left players on their own in the box without them having to try to lose a man.In the Championship sometimes we get away with it , but not with that lot.
Disappointed as I thought we'd give them more of a game but that's as far as it goes. We need to bounce back on Tuesday and stay in this league now.
seriously fella using an inhaler, an oxygen tent and a bottle of tesco's cheapest red wine. Our lass has phoned the doctor, the samaritans , the "A" team, the "X" Men , the "C" men( well it sounded summat similar), Tesco Direct and that lass I used to stalk... this is critical
Machester City outclassed us, id have been suprised if they didn't. There squad cost at least 500 times what ours did. If I was a City fan, I'd be embarrassed. Poor support, very quiet for the majority, and their team wasn't 500 times better than ours, despite the money. Not that im bitter or anything. I've enjoyed my day out, another stamp in my passport.
Just a bit disappointed at our own performance. Don't think we gave a good account of ourselves. Overawed maybe? Ah well.
Re: Is anyone on here dissapointed ?, embarrassed ?, ashamed ?... tonight? ...........................YES
I don't think we can throw any stones at that particular glasshouse - our support today was piss poor. Yes, there were 6,000 of us there but we hardly made a peep all game. It reminded me of the semi final against Cardiff a bit - too many once every 5 year tourists and the vocal core was too spread out - atmosphere was completely lacking.
I think he is right. Never once did all areas sing the same song. I could just hear groups here and there. Thought it was poor considering there was 6000. And for home fans I thought they were ok, been to some quiet grounds but that wasn't one of them. But I did comment at the game that I couldn't hear anything from the upper tier so maybe the acoustics are just poor. Or my ears! It had a 'Wembley' feel to it.
You must have been sat with the prawn sandwich brigade My voice is very sore this morning Although the stadium itself I don't think holds a decent atmosphere.
