Is anyone parking at Stanmore Tube Station for Semi

    Has anyone been there before?I know theres over 400 parking spaces but would it be sensible to book a space there and is it possible to do this or do you just turn up and pay there?

    I parked there for the play-off final in 2000

    I just turned up and paid. Just off the motorway. Easy away. I'd recommend it.

    I have booked a parking place at wembley business park £15, 5 minutes walk to stadium.

    don't think you can book there in advance

    it's NCP Wembley who do reserved parking and I checked the other day but don't think Stanmore was one of the places you could reserve a place at

    As well as the tube station car park

    The tube station car park was full when we got there in 2000 (ipswich fans sharing)

    However, there is plenty of free street parking and a multi storey park nearby.

    Are there any fast food places nearby ?

    McD, KFC, etc

    I'd like to know whether I need to stop at a services on the way down, bearing in mind they'll be full !

    There's a McD at the roundabout before you get to Stanmore Tube Station, and there's also one when you get off the tube at Wembley Park (just turn right out of the station and cross the road).

    Yes. I always park there when I go to London :)
    AND it's only £1 on a Sunday!! BARGAIN!!

    The only problem is, the last few times I've been there the tube was only running as far as Wembley Park because they're building a third platform at Stanmore, so we had to get rail replacement buses between Stanmore and Wembley Park - which is NOT FUN in the traffic :( Hopefully they'll see sense and cancel the engineering works that weekend, though... fingers crossed!!

    No mention of any work between Stanmore and Wembley that weekend.
    Queensbury is closed the weekend after, so looks OK for us !

    BRILLIANT!! :)

    Stanmore to Wembley Park is only 4 stops on the tube, takes all of ten minutes... but last weekend we were over an hour on the rail replacement bus!!

    yes, its pay on the day, but need to get there early

    as it will get full very quickly i would suspect, we parked there for the conference play off last year

    My mum used to work in the hospital there

    so for London away games I park there.

    Edgeware is pretty decent for parking too, £4 for the day last time for Charlton away.

    We are stopping at a hotel near Stanmore. Might just get a taxi to the station. Might be easier?

    Watfords a good one. 10 mins off M1

    £2.50 tube station parking for full day (theres loadsa streets near by if full), its also the line that passes wembley (20-30mins on tube)

    Both Stanmore and Edgeware are right outside Watford

    Plentry of options for parking.
